Double post, but I'm going to copypasta my thoughts here.

“Excuse me everyone, my name is Joyce Taylor,” she says. “Two days ago, four people died as a result of your shunning process.”

“Five years ago you people pulled your support from this small family, the only support they had was you people. You turned them away and you shunned them,” she continued.

I find this fairly ominous. Does anyone else see a potential parallel between a MGTOW "pulling his support" from women in general? Notice how "you shunned" became "this is your fault"?

I like how this is written as if she's the victim and she's full of shit. My parents have been jw since i was born and i have been in the community for since i was little. 1. You don't get shunned for sending ur children to university. Literally every single young adult in my kingdom hall is either working, trade school, or university. The only problem they have is sending ur children to live on campus by themselves however you don't get shunned or disfellowshipped for doing the opposite. 2. You can choose ur friends. You aren't forces to give up friends after becoming a jw the problem becomes if they lead u to do something that is against the faith like getting drunk at parties or premarital sex.

My guess is she got tired of the religion or was kicked out for adultery or something worse and decided to leave was shocked for being shunned so she kills her own family and this b.s. puff piece gets written about her.
