yeah at my home my mother doled out the punishment and it wasn't always proportional, fair, or rational sometime. We were always glad to see Dad at the end of the day. Over the years she mellowed out and hardly resembles the person she was in her 20s&early 30s. When we were little tykes had there been a divorce we would have without exception demanded to live with Dad with full custody.

Couldn't this be due to women being more likely to get sole custody of children? Even if they had the same abuse rate, women would look worse because there are more female parents.

Edit: apparently only 24% of single parents are male. This does not bode well for these sats.

Okay but this is where statistics can steer people in the wrong direction. Who does most of the childrearing? Right, mothers. So ANY interaction with a kid will be proportionally more mother derived.

Mothers might be more abusive, but this is NOT the way to demonstrate it. This is shit science. I mean, you could just as easily say "70% of kisses goodnight are coming from mothers; where are the daddy kisses?"

Oh, and ya my mom was a horribly abusive cunt. As was my dad.

EDIT: For the downvoters: If 90% of dogs are owned my men and most cases of dog abuse are enacted by men, does that men are more abusive to dogs than women? Ie: If 100 men and 100 women had dogs could you, based on the statistic above, say that the men will be more likely to abuse the dogs?

If you say no, the statistic above would not necessarily support that, then you agree with me and you understand stats. If you say yes, then you don't understand how statistics work.
