I'm seeing more and more articles referring to a mother as a "super mom." What makes one that much more extraordinary as compared to a regular mom?

While we're on the topic of "super" parents, when will I start seeing articles about a "super dad"? I'm sure his abilities to consistently support a family financially and provide protection, despite unable to volunteer at the local dog shelter or take the kiddies on a play date every Tuesday afternoon at 1pm, would surely earn him such a title.

Are these "super moms" able to do these extra feats in addition to having a full time job (or an actual job), or are they offered these luxuries because their husbands/partners subsidize their income and carry the brunt of the weight?

Or maybe I'm missing something?
