This question is mainly for divorced dads on good terms with your boys - maybe they're asking questions about women, or the 'fairy-tale' narrative is starting to get its claws in...

It's a difficult thing to warn a boy about marriage without sounding like you somehow regret them being born or ruining your relationship with them (like if it weren't for the marriage they wouldn't be here!)

So advising they "never get married" might be heard as "I wish you weren't here" which could be pretty damaging to the relationship and ruin their self-esteem.

Have any of you ever been in this situation and how did you handle it?
