Romance to women comes down to how far out of the way a man will go to pamper them. No reciprocity, no appreciation, just straight up "How completely will he yield my wants and needs?"

Ask any woman what her ideal vision of a romantic evening entails and take note of how many times "for me" is used compared to how many times "for him" is.
