Eh I dunno, there's other reason to want to be successful. Money can buy a higher quality of life if you're unhappy with your current situation. But you're right, a lot of people make life decisions based on society's expectations and peer pressure.

You know who DON'T want to be a success?

Frightened and Confused people.

There are people who talk about being successful and then there are the ones who are. For many it's not confusion that leads them to being successful, it's clarity.

This world is made up of many types of people. The same goes for MGTOW. If a man chooses to be successful, chances are that he seeks to be challenged in the arena he has chosen - and wants to win.

Let me ask you. Do you play video games or any type of sport? Do you prefer to be on the losing or on the winning side? Some people look at it this way when it comes to finances.
