They only care about themselves, mine tried hooking me up with a single mother, she just wants grandchildren. I explained the male perspective on things and that Id rather eat dog wommit for the rest of my life than raise someone elses kids.

My mother actually really supports me not dating/ marrying. She was in an abusive relationship with my father (emotional and physical) and he was always drinking, going to bars and strip clubs and shit. My uncle had to get in his ass a couple of times because when I was born, he wouldn't make the efforts to help my mom with buying clothes, food and diapers for me and a bunch more shit even after my uncle gave him a job at his factory. After she stopped talking to him, she focused 100% on working and raising my brother and I herself and she did a damn good job. My brother and I have a 7 year gap(separate fathers), me being 20.

Our relationship with our mother is more like brother and sister than mother and son. We've seen our family go through so much shit in relationships, especially the men. Divorces, child support shit, family court shit, all kinds of fucked up shit. The last thing she wants from me or my brother is for us to get fucked in a relationship and end up like my relatives.

The problem is that my brother is soft, and she understood that while she was raising him she enabled him to be that way and she tells him today stop being so soft and letting women control his life. I say the same to him because he was in a life threatening situation because of a bitch I don't talk to anymore that till this day he keeps talking to. Chance after chance my family gave her, excuse after excuse and continuous apologies, she keeps doing dumb shit and my brother loves her for it, he's a dumbass with females.

My mother is the only woman I respect and not just because she's my mother, but because I know she means well and she's been there for me when my friends passed away, or I doubted myself, or I just needed help with something. Meanwhile every other woman just wanted to spew shit about themselves while I was in a state of grief. Me, me, me. I, I, I. Not every mother is like mine so I can understand some people hating their mother. But some people actually have a dope ass mom like myself.

My mom says she doesn't blame me, given what i've gone through with women since i was a teenager, but she still says shit like "You'll meet the right girl" or "What about that one girl from blah blah blah"

She isn't as pushy or bull headed as some women about it, but she still drops little nudges.

I think underlying the subtlety of her approach is that when has tried to directly tell me what to do or is too forceful, i have a very strong "fuck you" attitude. I know, she's my mom, but this attitude actually comes from her... and i've told her that. So i think she realizes that the more pressure she puts on me the more i will pull away.

My mom divorced my alcoholic, bipolar PTSD dad when I was 11. She is the greatest woman I have ever know, raising 2 powerful men. And she loves that I am going my own way.

She sees wo.an around her as weak and manipulative. She always liked working with men over women. She always held at least 2 jobs. She hates Bullshit. She shits on other mothers babying their partying 20 to 30 somethings with illegitimate children. My brother found a great girl years ago, and she puts no pressure on me, but to watch out for hussys trying to cash in on a nurse making 6 figures who is not bad looking.

Your mileage may vary, but my mom is outstanding.
