If you read her letter, you’ll note Banfield’s main complaint is the damage the accuser did to the #MeToo movement, not the fact that Ansari’s career could be ruined because of the accusations.

By the way, the press using the word “accuser” is ridiculous when the “crimes” consist of serving red wine instead of white (something the woman actually complained about), and Ansari’s not reading non-verbal cues before she actually said the word “no.”
