Good shit man. You are wise, and a plant based diet is the path.I have been into a brahmacharya lifestyle for some time. Struggling the past couple months with nofap though and it sucks. I can feel the missing mental/spiritual benefits from when I was on strong streaks. Gotta get myself back out of this.

I think people who are skeptical usually can't see any harm in releasing some semen physically. It's debatable with them whether or not the amount of protein and nutrients in semen is enough to cause harm when released... yet it's undeniable that there is a benefit to become in control of one's impulses and cravings.

Very few people seem to practice any type of control over these things. They think as long as their not a heroine addict it's fine to binge watch Netflix for the day or eat Junk food. Sure it's not going to kill you but it limits your potential immensely.

Yet only few want to see what their true potential is. So those who do will practice this

But I think it's important to know that retention of this kind if not done properly can cause some problems. Stagnation which can lead to inflammation and health problems. So if one goes down this route you cant do it half assed. Indulging in any sexual fantasy or porn even while retaining will create problems. So will repression of sexual urges instead of transforming them

Yes I plan on being celibate indefinitely. Confidence is the biggest change I've noticed. Only thing I don't like is that it attracts women too. Maybe they can smell my full sack lol??

Good post OP. Never heard of brahmacharya but is it similar to these Yogis in India who practice retention and believe it helps with vitality/living longer/immunity? I did no fap for about 4 months and it felt great but sort of of been struggling since.

Without doubt, the hookup-based sexual marketplace is getting harder to deal with. Too many STDs and the risk of a false rape accusation make it more trouble than it's worth 99% of the time.

That said, may I suggest two more constructive ways to practice abstinence for personal growth OP?

I did both of those for many years in my thirties and forties. Result: I retired in my forties, fit and healthy. People say I look a decade younger than my actual age. It's not arbitrary self-flagellation. They are lifetime skills.

During that time I masturbated at will to whatever porn I liked. Also I did casual BDSM play with random women, rarely hooked up. I had platonic friendships with women for M/F companionship. I think I've kept a healthier libido than old married guys my age, in addition to better physical and fiscal health.

Disclaimer: Number one will totally fuck up your lifts. If you're lifting monitor your body fat not your daily calories.
