Can you imagine men seeing some stupid cartoon (a la Rosie the Riveter) and deciding to do something unpleasant (factory work) for 8-10 hours a day when it was financially unnecessary; just to feel as cool as the cartoon? It worked on women.

It would never work. Men would have said let the cartoon flex it's arm and pretend it's tough, my kids and dog are more fun than welding war weapons in a hot factory.

That's why there was a draft, the threat of jail and government money to get men participating in the war effort and a stupid cartoon for the women.

Men would not have jumped into war just because Elmer Fud looked cool with a shotgun in some painting.

Women are literally as simple as reverse psychology. It's what PUA's have tried to dress up and complicate to feel cool. All you have to do is present something undesirable (whether it be the PUA or a job) as difficult to obtain and they run flocking to it with no individual evaluation as to the actual desirability of what is being presented.
