you in that I do believe in Romantic Love (the eros love style). I don't think it's programmed, a western invention. I think attraction is quite natural and I think any child who grows up in a supportive environment will be inclined to eros.

Oh, we "believe" in that too, AND think it's "natural" ... we just don't call it "love"; rather we refer to it by it's proper name:

I believe in eros, but only sustainable when from a man to a woman.

I don't think women love men as much as a man can love a woman. And I think female love is very fickle.

So, yeah, I believe that romantic love exists as an emotional state, and have felt it. But I have no hopes of likely finding a woman that provides something similar at all towards me for any length of time.

So, it isn't worth the going through it.

Interesting post OP but you fail to see your own logic, romance in itself is an invention. Romance was created to make women swoon, since most men have no need for romance its clear to me men only created romance to get a female he otherwise would not have gotten with pure carnal attraction.

You OP fail to understand men invented Romance and its not a natural state, the closest thing people have is lust. Romance is overwhelming a male tool to get fickle women to bed men, romance is 99% used by men for women. If you truly believe romance exist you'd probably see many more females being romantic than we do.

Because it seems to me like you know the trap is real but refuse to accept that the bait is just an illusion. And even if the bait is real and could somehow be separated from the trap, who is going to do so when the people you desire this Romantic Love with are the ones most determined to lure you in?

I hear you. Though I'm not sure they are actually claiming that "Eros" is a social convention. I think they all recognize the legitimacy of biological urges(?) What I do think they see as a social construct is a love called "Agàpe" - that is, a love that is not sexual in nature (or the "higher" love in Greek).

Male is the only gender capable of experiencing true love, especially outwardly towards someone else. The only things women are able to love is herself, her possessions, and tenuously her children (in her mind, they are her possessions which she gifted to herself) just as long as those children satisfy the conditions she places on them.

to "they".. I swear I was not lurking on this sub before. I just hate marriage and everything associated with it and what leads up to it. That's all the rituals and games and screening process... all of that.. you can only be friends with women. I don't want to screen them. Marriage is not the ultimate goal. I thought MGTOW because I read some good things on quora.
