Ok, so I'm pretty much a solid MGTOW and have almost come full circle. To the point that I now work part time and wanted to downsize on the living expenses and live a rural more quality life. This last summer, I moved into a room on an upgraded pioneer homestead type of place close to the city but not far. Place is a fixer upper to say the least. Compared to the life in the sterile suburbs, this was awesome and I was gardening and working on all the things i needed to get done on my auto, and RV, even paperwork I was putting off. I was really starting to build myself strong naturally by doing yardwork and landscaping and gardening. Working outdoors and getting all that sun, it does the body and mind and spirit really good!
Well, I fucked up really bad and sublet that room from a scammy woman. Also, I went back on my already known ruleset to never cohabitate, but I broke that rule and am 750 dollars short because I'm an idiot and went ahead and did it anyways. I found out she scams people for their money by withholding rent and deposit monies, denies use of the place and locks you out. I'm not the only one either as I browsed the court records.
So I sue in small claims court, and think I have a solid case to get my last month rent and deposit. Why wouldn't I ? I've worked months on it, altogether totaling more than 40 or more hours on this case. I find ample protections in state law that should allow me to access treble damage award, among a few other such statutes and I think the state has my back on this. All my life growing up, I was reminded that tenants have rights... I find another MGTOW like guy on the court records who sued her for the very exact same thing happened to, and we're kinda sorta buddies through the whole shared experience since I called him and we discussed at length.
I was denied my claim aside from a paultry 100 bucks.
Whatever the facts of the case are, you are going to just need to believe me on this. The whole situation makes me think society and the laws and foundations of law are nothing more than an illusion. Its all in our minds whatever notion of justice exists, because the police and courts aren't really there to protect us. Civic rights are so important, but we really don't have civic rights and constitutional protections. Even the rights we think we do have, you may be surprised could perhaps just be vapor in your headspace. I'd like to press you to question yourself of what rights do we really have?
I've come to the conclusion that the only rights we do have are because of mutual human cooperation and respect, because aside from that - Justice isn't really obtainable, even on paper. So tread through this world with your head up and take the punches, but also dole them out responsibly. It's really just-us now, and only you have your own back so go with your gut instincts, trust no one.
