I'm going surrogate. Adoption is full of red tape and the "why don't you go the traditional route" will be skull fucked into you with reckless abandon. At least with surrogacy you have a legitimate claim to your own child. Which to me is a must; I want my genes to survive past me but won't pay some broad to do unleash hell on me for it when I can pay a broad to do it and fuck off.

I understand your point of view. But there is something about me that has to hold MY son. It's just a thing for me man. I considered adoption I really did. But if surrogacy is an option I'd like for my child to look like me. To be of me.

If she's a girl I'll raise her like a son haha either way I want a child. I think having a kid would be awesome. Watching a little human grow, it's a whole other thing man. I've seen so many people gain a tremendous sense of purpose from their children. It's a beautiful thing. I want that and I can have that. I'm just not having it with the wife side of the deal.

I have two dogs. I love my dogs. But the connection between a human and a dog and the connection between a father and his child are two completely different dynamics. Raising a child is a whole other thing. I can dig that the path for some is to not have children whatsoever, I certainly respect that. But I want to have a child sooner or later. I want to be a father.

My logistics are in order and my health is top notch brother. A lot of thought has gone into this and surely there will be even more thought to sift through between now and then. Even then, nothing can ever prepare you for a child. Its a whole other world.
As for the posts about wanting kids, it's still something people do man. Children are born every day. I see a lot of guys here all the time that had bad experiences with their fathers if any experience at all. Many of them want to correct that. A man has two chances in his life for a father son relationship. The one with his dad and the other with his son. For me it's a very cultural thing, the way I was raised, the world that I've seen.

It's possible on paper but in practice I wonder - they may be biased toward heterosexual couples rather than single males.
Have you considered being a big brother or does bb have some sort of issue I'm not aware?
