I loved the books. Sherlock Holmes never cared about women, The most likely reason he was THE BEST and my all time favorite. The show is good but with too many women in it. The books never had any female character of particular importance(apart from Irene Adler, but even she appeared in only one story).

Yep i'm highly disappointed with that episode, the Sherlock i know will do anything to solve a case. solving the cases get him high not women and Sherlock trying to save a women. WTF wrong with BBC don't change the characters attitude as you like. Sherlock don't believe in relationships and god like bullshit. i don't like Sherlock doing white-knighting . I miss moriarty games. First episode in season 4 highly disappoint me.

Season 3 of Sherlock was already pretty bad, but is was the Christmas special that did it for me. Watson finishes his season 3 transformation into the "dumb guy with the perfect wife", Sherlock waxes poetic and lectures the audience on the Victorian women's suffrage movement.

And as you said, the first episode of season 4 was just as bad.

Season 1 and 2 were great. Irene Adler, the dominatrix character, was fantastic. She was far more interesting and believable than the literal Mary Sue character that Mary is.

The same thing is happening to Doctor Who, one of my all time favorite televisions series. The show has always had strong female characters which isn't something I mind, as long as they have good character development and aren't some Mary Sue's.

But after watching this years Xmas special.. I saw over and over again ridiculous SJW type propaganda being shoved down the audience's throat. I really like Peter's version of the Doctor, and I like the long history of the show and all the lore that is in it.. but they are constantly pushing this women>men type bullshit. They have more and more male characters that are portrayed as the stereotypical "doofus idiot dad" type of man. And then they have some dominant female character that bosses them around and acts like she knows everything and bla bla bla.

Fuck... I'm not the type of person that lets this sort of shit ruin my enjoyment of movies, tv, comics etc etc . I've always been able to look past the bullshit feminist narrative they push in these stories and instead just let myself enjoy the stories and the characters and all the awesome artwork. But I'm starting to find that it's getting harder and harder for me to enjoy this stuff. :(
