I know single women that have adopted, single men can do it as well. You'll save a life. But be prepared financially. It is the most expensive thing you can do and you can't walk away from it.

It is unbelievably satisfying as well. No one knows what love is until they have children - that's a fact.

If you decide to have your own, find someone with good health history, parents, grandparents, etc.

No boarding school - that's horrible. If you're thinking about that, you're not ready for a child. 24/7/365 = being a father. If you're not up for everything in your life being about that person, don't do it. You'll resent the child. It MUST be 24/7/365 no exceptions. Anything else is a disservice to the child. Love = being there, period.

Adoption, surrogacy are things I am looking into. I have a 3y/o son with a crazy ex. But he is the best thing I have ever done with my life. I am scared as shit for him growing up. But I'm going to teach him the ways of MGTOW hard core. But I think I want another kid someday. I have female friends who have offered to surrogate for $$$. Adoption is always an option but very hard for a single male. Anyways, what ever you choose to do I wish you luck! Being a dad rocks.

Not criticizing, but genuinely curious: what aspects of your life do you think would be improved by you reproducing? I specify "reproducing" because you stipulated in the OP that you do not want to adopt. I cannot wrap my head around this.

Full custody ain't likely especially if you are in the USA but the time a Dad spends with a child is often enough to become the favoured parent - depending on the custody arrangement, a Dad may become the parent who never has to argue or shout (you're late for school! Stop running off around the store! Fuck sake go to to sleep!)
