Look at the picture. Princess Kate looks giggly when she meets Justin Trudeau. Never mind that Prince Williams (Kate's husband) and Sophie Trudeau (Justin's wife) were right there.

If this is hypergamy, then from an objective standpoint this makes no sense. The UK could crush Canada in a war. Prince William's family is much wealthier than Trudeau's family. William is younger and physically larger than Trudeau.

Then again, Trudeau actually is a better looking guy than William (despite Trudeau being 11 years older than William). I mean, Williams has aged like shit, he's my age but he looks like he could be my uncle or much older cousin (when he was younger he was actually a decent looking guy).

Maybe I'm reading too much into this.
