I used to worship women. I needed them. I felt functionless without them. I even toyed with the idea of the divine woman. I did everything for them, I even altered my reality for them. I believed that the media had this evil agenda that preyed on the insecurity of woman's beauty (still semi-believe this to be true actually), but I just could never believe that women on the whole, as a class of people, were oppressed.
I was sympathetic to and curious about feminism. I wanted to know what they were clamoring about. Surely they wouldn't scream like they do unless shit was serious! I read, investigated and studied feminist literature, sex positivity, hung out with feminists, on feminist boards e.t.c. And I began to accept, without much critical thought, their claims, namely because I liked where it was going... Sluttier women and more sex for me. But as I became wiser, I realized the sluts came at the cost of good women. Now everyone's divorced, and working, birth rates plummeted, and no one's happy! lol.
I became MGTOW shortly after my mind was blown about the realities of feminism, and I began to turn the mirror of empiricism back onto my life and the women in them. I saw all of the same trends in them. I know now why they push for the idea of the divine woman, because I wouldn't have worked so hard for them, if I saw them as equals to my guy friends.
Is my story largely the same for everyone here?

In the 1990s I dated and ended up living with a feminist for a few years. At the start, it was great. Easy sex! She swallowed! Everything was kinky! The fact that she was a single mom didn't bother me because mean ol' Chad abandoned her. Awww. Then within a few months of moving in together, I was the fucking white male patriarchy. Not that I had changed, she changed. All of a sudden wanting kinky sex was patriarchy. How dare I demand sex from her! I didn't demand it, just indicated interest. I didn't even demand she get a job, silly me. She stole money out of my wallet, used it to buy drugs, and hung out with party people while I watched the kid. Lesson learned.
When I broke up with her, she told everyone that I kicked her out because I hated children and all sorts of other bullshit. I still hear bullshit stories from acquaintances that knew us 25 years ago. No, it had nothing to do with how often the police were called on her. No, it had nothing to do with how much of my shit she destroyed. No, it had nothing to do with her drug use or destroying my credit. I just hate women. Sure.

I was raised by a single mother that divorced my dad when I was a year old and purposefully kept me from my dad (moved across the country so my dad couldn't afford to visit me, constantly told me that my father was a bad man, never let me go visit him etc.) I didn't see my dad for 15 years, so I was pretty much screwed from the start. It wasn't until my late teens/early 20's that I could even fathom questioning feminism. Up until that point I had been 100% indoctrinated by it, and at the time I was proud of it. I was taught to worship women, to put them on a pedestal, and to make them happy no matter the cost to my own happiness. I was taught that was what real men did. Slowly as time went on, more and more examples of spoiled entitled-women who-have-everything pretending to be oppressed and taking their insecurities out on men slowly began to change me and cause me to rebel against feminism. At age 30 after breaking up with my last feminist gf, I finally swallowed TRP and decided to go MGTOW. Life has been great ever since. Wish I had gone MGTOW sooner, but oh well. Live and learn.

Yes, I communicate with him often and have a great relationship with him. Still wish I could get the 15 years of my youth back that were spent without him though.
