nice! I did this 3 years ago on 5 acres. Let me know if you need any help. First thing, I'd build an overhang off that container and frame it in and wood stove. I'm buying a hoop bender and building out 10,000 sqft of greenhouses this winter, and a few car ports with a pipe bender so I can work on my tractors and $1200 backhoe. Edit: looking at your photos, I'd yank the second shipping container with a truck or tractor over, and buy some trusses OR put some greenhouse hoops over them, and then greenhouse plastic, so between the containers you have 1200-2000 sqft of dry space. Make sure you are on the high ground. Like a greenhouse hoop on top of them. Should be less than $1 sqft. Looks like you have money though (new containers), so maybe trusses and delta rib roofs.

I like the “work around” aspect of your approach. The system makes it difficult to find legal ways for a man to live with dignity. Legal housing is cost prohibitive, made for families, high maintenance, basically a constant drain on a man’s resources and not inspiring in the least.

I am in the process of executing my own project. It is better to do than to escape though others stories. I think that the reduction of stuff to the essentials of what is important to the man is liberating and a great act of defiance.

What a man likes and needs is less than what it takes for this society to survive given its current nasty value system.

Man, even if you do that for a few years while you have a steady source of income you're set. Dropping your expenses by a half to 2/3rds while saving and investing the rest is an easy way to accumulate a nest egg of "fuck you money". This type of situation doesn't have to be permanent, but in a few years you'll be able to move on and do what you want. Congrats!
