The problem with family is that people put so much emphasis on familial bonds. It was pretty easy for me to cut off my family because I probably am a psychopath (at least I show high characteristics of it, according to a school psychologist I visited back in uni).

Just remember that family members are humans too. Just because someone else says that family members are all that you can rely on doesn't mean that's true. Forget for a moment she's your sister: consider her an average woman.

Would you tolerate her? NO. Now let's add back in the family thing. Does that change anything about her? NO. Would she save your ass if you were in trouble? NO. Does being her brother change that? NO.

In the end, just consider what that person values. As we know, women are willing to destroy anything if they think it will net them personal gain. This includes family. If it were a man, I'd think twice. But I think you made the right choice in cutting her off. Wait 10 years and see how she's doing. If she comes around and is somewhat rational, you can have her at the family table at arm's distance and hold the fact that she's a psychopathic lying bitch over her as a legitimate reason to do so. If she doesn't, great. You can't lose in this situation by ignoring her.

Seems a bit extreme. She might even have anxiety issues, and feels like she needs to please everyone, therefore taking different sides depending on the person. But of course you know her better than I do, and if your decision is to cut her out of your life, then my advice is stand by it.

Yes, you did make the right decision, but you will probably find it hard to keep her out of your life...a girl like this always has to be right and she'll probably come around trying to mend things at some point. The whole reason she shows different faces to people is because she's trying to manage how people respond to her.

Think about this line of reasoning for a second. NO ONE is innocent. Imagine someone said to you "You lied when you were 5 about stealing a piece of candy, therefore you deserve to be divorce raped." Does that make any sense to you? Of course not. So you should not tolerate someone else's shitty behavior despite your own behavior in the past. Especially if it looks like that behavior will never change.

Hard call. I know the true nature of my sister and i'm not talking about bullshit AWALT evil feminist wimmin crap but stuff like lying, not paying back money and setting debt collectors on to your relatives for money you actually owe kinda shit. I really have no idea what to do so cutting off contact is the best thing for now.

A question that you need to answer first is : Did she try to manipulate you ?

Having different points of view is fine as long as you don't suffer from that difference.

My sister is a plain bitch, manipulative , goes from 1 guy to the other and wouldn't settle even for a guy who had it all by age 23 ( the guy was a millionaire ).

She does every single bad thing you could think of, but when she is with me ; her brother ; she has a respect for me and for our relationship.

So the same thing would apply to your sister, if you are getting DIRECTLY affected by her multiple fake faces then you did right to leave, if however you just didn't like her way of life without ever being affected by it then i think you might have over reacted.

Thanks guys for the responses. I forgot to mention this earlier. But she said the reason she'd lies because she don't want to be judge.. But i told her "when you get caught about your lying, its a 100% chance people is going to judge you." Some of you are saying it's not a big deal, but if you have a person in your life who preaches about about their life values, and do the opposite it's hard to not get mad. I'd understand it's her life, but it's not right for you to lie to people, while you hate you liars yourself. I can't trust her... I can't put my finger on it, but I don't trust her.
