Alpha Male is a scientific standard of the dominant male in ALL MAMMALS.

Humans are still mammals.

It's born into the male and can't be changed.

It is NOT the quality of the genes; that's just a tendency pattern. It is NOT a quality of being manipulative, or good with women.

Alpha is the LEADER. Alphas OWN other people directly or by proxy and others OBEY them.

That's what alpha is and that's a real fact of real human life.

Naw some people are natural leaders , alphas, some people can emulate that behavior seamlessly , but others try to emulate and it is forced so it doesnt work out for them. But who cares being socially aware is half the battle.

I agree. Aside from seals, rangers, etc...who have to live by these hard rules....most "alpha males" I know are really sociopaths looking for attention.

I agree to a large extent, while alpha males definitely do exist, almost all of them are naturally alpha and most probably aren't even aware they're alpha.

If you're not alpha then I don't think you can suddenly become alpha by reading books written by "PUAs" and trying to apply their methods, women see straight through it.

Alpha and beta are constructs useful to understand basic human relationships through evolutionary biology. If someone things there's a pill to change that dynamics they're missing the point. And anyway, evolutionary biology is way overused as an explanation in mansphere content. Social analysis runs way deeper, this is not mere ethology.

I don't actually agree. I think it is a reductionist attempt to understand dominance in humans.

There ARE people who are more dominant, or more submissive. There are also a lot of people who go up and down depending on circumstance and whatever else affects them at the moment - that probably describes most people.

I suppose it would be somehow comforting to imagine that there was nobody out there who is powerful and intimidates most people - but in fact, such people do exist.

What I don't think is that dividing everyone up into 2 or 3 little boxes is completely accurate. However, as a model, it may have its place.

You can absolutely improve your life in terms of posture, fitness, confidence, mindset, wealth, sexual prowess, satisfaction, etc.

No, of course you can't grow 6 inches taller (or 3 inches longer). But you don't have to.

I am terrible at fitness, and I've been working on shoulder, back, and squat exercises half-heartedly since September and my posture is way better. It's not just that you can strain and stand up, you can actually realign your shoulders, tilt your pelvis, fix your neck, etc. Feels good, man.

Your mind is your only limit for many aspects that people would call alpha-ness. Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right. No one is a born salesman, people learn how to do it. How many guys did you know in high school who were over 6 foot who hunched over like they hated themselves? Genes are great, but they only take you so far.

Are there limits? Sure. If you're a depressed 400lb quadriplegic, you're going to have a hard time "being alpha". But look at something like the Michael Stokes photos of wounded vets like Alex Minsky. Those guys are missing limbs and they look badass as fuck. If you don't want to aim for being alpha, that's cool, don't. But you can get pretty damn far if you want to and you try.
