How long are you doing this so far?

I got a model I want to realize but so far all the tutorials are too basic to do this and/or I', a noob. Any recommendations for modelling to learn this as fast as possible?

Used sculptris so far and it was working way better, but I got the feeling that it has limitations and I wouldn't be able to animate the model in the end.

Just want to be prepared for the moment we all log into an "ready player one" like matrix and everyone can have their avatar... I want to have a fully capable *.obj file by then :D

I like zBrush, nice. By the way once you're done, don't forget to break the symmetry to make the model more realistic.

I Zbrush all the time as a hobby. His pecs look like breasts, stomach area seems too thin. Break the symmetry. Otherwise keep working on it.
