It's the "eternal return of the same" story. Just type in "prostitute finds Jesus" and you'll see the same narrative.

5) She's hitting her late 20's and see people she knew marry career climbers and start families. She has not. How does she translate this? "I blame men for holding my sex history against me."

6) She goes to church, the last place on earth that will accept her. The notion of having been "born again" is appealing, as it implies, in her mind, that all the things before are assumed to have never happened. Translation: "I blame men for not treating me with respect like respectable women."
