It's actually worse than that. In many cases, even losing half your shit to her is better than having to live with her shit (on the daily). Women can be insufferable.

If you want to buy a new car, she can say no. If you do it anyway, you risk divorce and losing the car anyway. You tell her she can't buy anymore new shoes, she does it anyway. If she does it anyway, what does she stand to lose?

The problem with marriage isn't that she could take half or more when she divorces, it's that the man was a utility to begin with.

There's really nothing to fix when things aren't broken to begin with. Marriage just needs to die.
