When you help people, you must understand people first (psychology). In providing help, you take on risk and endanger yourself because you don't really know that person well.

During helping process, 1. if you fail you bring others to hate you. 2. if you succeed you earn no gratitude. 3. if you are clumsy and butt into things, you bring mockery upon yourself. 4. if you pry into or meddle with things you shouldn't, you will be escorted away (either by legal force, or informal authority).

Bringing it all together

Do not white knight, white knighting is actually emotionally self-motivated and has nothing to do with reality. People will not value or appreciate help that is "not requested". In other words, there is no ownership of the helping process. Put simply, it is wiser to mind your own business.

What interest women is what you can do for them. Reciprocity is usually off their minds when people struggle, all they need is someone to do the heavy lifting for them.

Trust is not free, and should not be assumed freely.

There is something called the "pseudo-trust" academic term. Pseudo-trust is a temporary alignment of self-interests with one another. It is a convenient arrangement that forms the basis of an economic exchange in a relationship. For example, "my enemy's enemy is my friend."

It is not only short-term, when conditions (interest) change - you risk eventual betrayal.
