Going out does suck. Standing shoulder to shoulder in a dark room with music blaring so loud that you can't talk to the person right next to you while holding a $10 beer is no longer appealing to me. Actually it never was. I fucking hated it, but I would stand there like an imbecile because it was the "cool thing to do".

Nope, not doing that stupid shit anymore. I realize that Saturday nights spent playing video games or reading are far, far more enjoyable. If I'm going out to socialize it will be in a quiet location. And nightclubs? Hahaha, never fucking again.

IMO plenty of millennials still go out. Millennials are all about showing up, taking selfies and tagging themselves with all the cool kids, and splitting before the selfies start to look like chit and half the people go home before them. Mostly everything millennials do is motivated by how it will look in pictures/videos on social media.

I prefer either staying home or doing shit outdoors. Typical "going out" night-life activities equate to bars, clubs, and parties ... all places centered around men spending a lot of money and competing for vagina. No thanks!

I wish I would have known what a waste going out to the bars and getting tanked on $9.00 beers and $12.00 whiskey shots was. Shoulder to shoulder to get the bartenders attention to purchase the overpriced drink, finding an empty spot to 'stand' which smells like a mix of vomit and stagnant mop water, chasing something that was hardly ever found for the average young-man, all while avoiding confrontation and fights while en route to the next shit hole.

But then again, if I didn't do it, I would have never truly known. I just wish that realization hit me much sooner than my hangovers the following day. We had some fun times, but a year of partying should have been enough. The smart ones get out early. Did it a bit too long, but glad I've left that lifestyle. It's for young college kids anyways.
