I'd be pretty surprised to meet somebody not on the internet that knows what MGTOW is. That being said, the vast majority of men who are MGTOW have never even heard of MGTOW.

It is a self-taught philosophy for the most part.

Not formally. Women have made comments about my promiscuous sex life before and my lack of commitment to any one women though. It seems to make them want me even more. Everything with women is the opposite of what you would expect.

One girl I worked with thought that a well paid debt free home owner really needed to be set up with at least one of her friends and got a bit upset that I declined all her suggestions. She did once suggest that my 'hobbies' were a bit abnormal, so I laughed and said she might be right but it never went much further than that.

Unless they watch/consume a lot of man-o-sphere or maybe some feminist content for whatever reason, I doubt they would even know what MGTOW was.
