I got a pm from a new piller, asking me what it's like to have internalized the pill. Is life just a nonstop porn shoot?

I see a lot of posts on these forums from guys who appear to be under the impression that notch count is how the game of life is scored. It isn't. Allow me to introduce you to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.

Maslow proposed that human beings have a multiplicity of needs, but that some needs take precedence over others: if you are starving to death, you can't afford to worry about self-respect, but once the food problem is solved you start working on higher-order needs.

He divided needs into a few basic tiers: physiological, security, connection, esteem, and self-actualization, in that order. Sex is ranked as a physiological need.

Guys who are not getting laid and don't know when they will get laid next are understandably focused on taking care of that basic need, just like a starving man is unable to focus on anything but finding food. However, a man who is getting laid regularly and who is confident in his ability to get laid at will can move his attention to other, more important things.

This is why there's a natural progression from seddit to trp. Guys who arent getting laid need to get laid first. Once that problem is out of the way, they naturally ask "what next?" The answer to "what next" is higher order needs- and the typical redpill advice is to make male friends (connection tier) and develop personal value (esteem tier). Self-actualization is gonna be up to you... but pursuing a worthy life purpose is the natural next step for a man who has solved all of his lower-tier problems.

There will be a few men who focus on notch count to the exclusion of higher needs. This is an understandable and common but unfortunate reaction to serious deprivation; the healthy way to deal with trauma is to move past it, not to dedicate your life to solving an already-solved problem. In my own life, I'm happily married and also add some strange to my diet a few times a year; I could be racking up a much higher count than I do, but honestly, I've got much better things to do with my time.
