As much as I love Star Wars, I was pretty depressed.

I wouldn't be surprised if they spun this so that somehow she weakened a part of the Death Star to cause it to be destroyed.

She gives off the vibe that she ran away from boarding school and told a few lies and got herself into something way over her head (which wouldn't surprise me if that was her actual backstory and that she reveals she had lied her way into the Rebellion during a moment of weakness).

But after that she finds the strength within to save the day and overcome her weaknesses. She starts out as a imposter but becomes the real deal by the end.

How can we know if she is a Mary Sue or not if we haven't seen the film yet. I didn't like Rey but that wasn't because she was female, it was because she was a boring character and you can't tell that solely from this trailer.
