most of the drug addicts are alcoholics, that's not to say people's choice of drug won't change in the future. I personally wouldn't worry about it, 10-15 years from now we are going to have much bigger problems on our hands the way things are going. More than likely we'll all be living in the thunderdome.

Weed is not a gateway drug. There is no such thing as a gateway drug. An uninformed but up for anything mind is the type that does hard drugs. You have all drugs legalized and regulated like they should and people educated on that stuff, consumption actually decreases. There are better opiates than heroin anyway and people would rather do those if they kneww about them/had the option.

Unless someone is suicidal they don't go out of their way to destroy their health through drugs.

Colorado and California aren't seeing explosions in meth use, only small backwoods country towns with nothing else to do. Who are lucky to have a ferris wheel for a thrill.

If drugs were the problem we'd all be junkies. After all, we could all take them, but most people chose not to.
