I think the reception might have been a little better had you structured your speech differently; the stop feeling sorry for yourself frenzy, which is not wrong, is nevertheless better after you've hopefully established some rapport and agreement. In my opinion, anyway.

Anyhow, I know you already know this, but you can't free a mind until it's ready, and some minds never will be. Most of these dudes on /r/short don't want to be told or shown the way to happiness. They'd rather die up on their cross.

The best instructor is to set an example by living the life you want to live.

I think your text was good. Their level of confidence will be the differentiating factor however.

Many in there seem to believe that attraction is a rational thing, something that has to be FAIR, and fixed by fighting for it, as if it was a social wrong to be righted. They have a long way to go in understanding how the world works.

Oh well, let's hope your message reaches the ones that have common sense. My guess is, just like some people get burned by marriage and become MGTOW, while others listen to advice and become preemptively, the same thing happens with heightism: some will wait for eons until they can't stand it anymore, and change, while others will listen to advice like yours and change their mindset sooner.

Anyways, your piece was good.

Liked the comment about the LifeScript^TM and that made me do a search to see if the term was commonly used that way (apparently it's not)... then I thought... Hmmm BachelorScript? (Just a font); OK how about MGTOWscript?

With credit to Hund Hollen I have summarized the current social scripts men are expected to choose from.

The tradcon script: bust your ass and remain celibate, then marry some supposedly good and worthy Christian “virgin”, move to some rural area, have lots of kids and homeschool them, grow your own food and brag about your lifestyle on the Internet. [though he left out, "and hope she doesn't cheat or get unhaaaapy and divorce your ass... because that's what's happened to most of the guys I know who followed this one.]

The feminist script: bust your ass and have egalitarian relationships with feminist women based on mutual respect, marry an aging spinster or single mother, have 1 or 2 children and indoctrinate them with feminism, move to the suburbs, pay off your wife’s debts, brag about it all on the Internet and then tearfully claim it’s all your fault when she divorces you and ruins your life.

The MRA script: bust your ass and do lots of activism on behalf of MRA organizations. Donate money, show up on protests and conferences. Paint a target on your back for tradcons and feminists to shoot at. Whenever attacked, claim that you support “gender equality” and love women.

The PUA script: bust your ass, work out like crazy, spend your free time learning all sorts of “valuable” social game skills, go on a diet, approach 10 women everyday, travel the Third World, brag about it all online, then move to the Philippines or Latvia when you’re tired of it all, then self-publish your memoirs in online format and sell it on Amazon.

Thought that was well stated, succinct, and humorously done.

basically every article/survey/set of statistics justifies the way they feel so even when you try to help them it's just your anecdotal evidence vs ALL their data
