Dated one. Single biggest mistake of my life. I have never met a creature more selfish, no one on earth has ever treated me worse. I was less than human in her eyes, and anything she wanted it was my responsibility to provide. Despite being a 'strong, independent, educated, liberated, woman', she was utterly helpless. She could not be bothered to have any sort of gainful employment. Despite starting the relationship as a sex positive liberated woman, over time she became like the old nun in the abbey who judges all the young ones for having any sort of life or exuberance or fun.

Typically I would come home to find her angry at all men and me being the only man in the vicinity guess what I got.

But despite believing she was tough and strong she was actually as fragile as a thin paper cup, any sort of disagreement shattered her entire self esteem. She demanded control over my life and who I hung out with and when, but if I planned a date for us or wanted to spend time with her (thinking back I have no idea why I wanted to do this) I was being controlling and clingy and not letting her do what she wanted to do, which was sit on her ass all night since she didn't have any friends or social life at all.

A narcissistic hypocrite fits best in the SJW mindset. The mentality reinforces every negative thing in their minds, it tells them other people are responsible for them, and everyone owes them something. A narcissist in the SJW movement is like a pig in mud.

Ive found the socratic method works best to drill down to the bedrock of their bullshit. They know it works too so they call it sealioning in an attempt to frame a legitimate argument as abuse. The socratic method is asking a series of pointed questions in order to have the speaker expose their own illogical position. This means the questioner is not able to be attacked on their own positions while the speaker is digging their own grave.

Demanding logical arguments on paper shuts feminists up very quickly. If you can get one to actually write down their bullshit then you should be able to point out specific contradictions in their position. Most of them arent formally trained in logic so its inevitable they will make serious errors. These errors are the leverage you use to demonstrate how regressive and poorly built their ideology is.

Of course this presumes youre talking to a person who isnt actually a religious zealot. Lots of feminists are effectively equivalent to flat earthers or die hard jesus freaks. Their whole sense of identity and placement can get wrapped up in feminism and attacking it becomes attacking them.

In short, its not worth it.

She is constantly belittling all males as the a incompetent gender. It is incredible to watch her in action. I went on a date with a girl who I assumed to only be feminist. She seemed normal before we went out, she even made the first move in approaching me. Things got very strange when I started making assumptions about her and everytime I made an assumption, she literally became hostile, like I called her a slut each time. Stay away, when you can't avoid you shouldn't engage, and when you're forced to engage you "Listen and ignore".

It is helpful in many situations to be able to answer in a conversation without agreeing but without disagreeing either. Merely acknowledge and reflect, but do not validate.

There's nothing to be gained from these people, why bother with them? They're awful people.

Oh yeah, tons. Before going MGTOW, I took a woman's studies class for an easy elective (which it was, easiest A I've ever gotten besides maybe woodshop in high school), but the girls in there were borderline retarded. Besides the driving factors of my crazy ex fiance and psychotic mother in my MGTOW transformation, that class was a big force as well. There were only 2 other guys in the class and we caught a lot of sideways glares and passive aggressive remarks.

I met a real life Tumblrina once too at a park I was walking my dog at. She had the blue pixie bull-dyke haircut, skin pale as Casper, whole 9 yards. She was handing out pamphlets for free abortion with some other SJW nerds. They all had weird tie-dye shirts with glitter and shitty writing on them like "OUR BODY, OUR CHOICE" and whatever else. Couple mangina pussies in the mix as well.

It was funny because nobody was listening to their shenanigans and they handed out like maybe 3 fliers the entire 30 minutes I was at the park. I didn't personally engage, but it was fun just people watching those nutjobs.

I ignore it. But that's because I suck at arguing. Also you can't know which way the crowd leans and even if you're right if the others listening aren't sympathetic to your side you won't get through to them.

The good news is irl people are far more moderate and people on the extremes look fucking crazy out in the wild. So as long as you keep your mouth shut they can usually dug their own graves.

If it's a college class then forget what you know and parrot whatever the professor says unless you're cool with throwing tuition money away.

And while each major encounter is "crazily" different... nonetheless I'd have to say that Vox Day (Cf "SJW's Always Lie"} has more or less summarized the things that they DO have in common:

They will LIE -- not just trivial "white" lies mind you, but big, bold, blatant lies, multiple ones, right to people's faces and unless people are standing next to each other, the lies will come with no consistency in them from one person to another, or from one day to the next. (One encounter I had the woman had an array of about a dozen different lies, and she used whichever one seemed like it would be the most effective with each individual she was attempting to persuade/trick into signing her "petition", etc).
They double down on those lies -- that is if/when you confront them on any one of those lies, they will "up the ante" (or "dig themselves a deeper hole") and make additional even more egregious claims.
They will project a whole host of things... generally speaking things that they themselves are engaged in, or problems they themselves are having (i.e. if they accuse someone of theft or graft then it is very likely they themselves are or recently were stealing or getting {or at least seeking} kickbacks; if they accuse someone else of having "mental problems" well, you can be fairly certain they themselves are not only in "counseling" but are probably on at least one, if not multiple psychiatric medications).

I've dealt with one on last saturday. I was doing a body weight exercise repetition challenge against other guys, groupwise. Told my group that my arms hurt and that I had to do an alternative exercise (more difficult) which doesn't hurt my arms.

The woman in our group was doing an easier version and told me to do the same if my arms hurt. And I was like, nope, I'm not a beginner and that wouldn't be fair because I can do tons of those. Suddenly she told me that I'm oppressing her by not going down to her level and she somehow felt ashamed and said that I just don't want to do this alternative exercise because she's a woman and I'm sexist despite not knowing me.

No bitch, I just wasn't doing it because our group would've had an advantage and because I want to challenge my fucking muscles, that's why I'm working out after all. Not like her who just joined us to get some male attention and put off the start of our challenge because of her fucking insecurities.

Feminists are by far the most unpleasant people to be around and I've met some man-hating bitches before. I would really fucking love to punch a feminist in the face but the best thing that I can do is just to shut up and distance myself quietly from those dangerous and sick fucks.

Basically, pretend you are listening then make it obvious you don't care and are under no obligation to enter into a debate with 'it' and walk away. The key question is, why? Why deal with them if you don't have to?
In a professional setting, just focus on the task at hand and limit contact.
In social life ... is this who you want to hang with anyway? Seek a saner crowd. If it's family, you just have to agree to disagree.

In your case, /u/BeautifulTurtle, it sounds like you are behind enemy lines. In this case, you have to look at the costs and benefits of a confrontation. Don't let yourself get bullied, but don't go looking for trouble.

You don't have to live near Toronto, at least not in perpetuity. Perhaps gainful employment in your field can be had in Vancouver, or Ottawa, or Calgary, or even the Buffalo area? Until men start voting with their feet, I don't think much will change. Even if it doesn't change, at least those who walk will have a better life; in general, that is IMHO the premise of MGTOW overall (better life, not so much worried about effecting change but OK with it if it comes.)

Feminism is an ideology, almost a religion. Do you think you could argue a Jehova's Witness into some other religion, or atheism? Theoretically possible, but extremely unlikely.

More than once, Karen Straughan has said that when she engages with feminists on gender issues, it is not to convert that person; it is for the benefit of bystanders. This is especially effective when the SJW looses their cool and goes psycho.

I lost a friend to this shit. He is mature enough to be responsible for his own decisions, but it does show what stupid ideologies and self-blame (or pride) can do to a smart person nonetheless.

I smelled it growing on him since many years ago. The last time I talked to him was when I pointed him a video about libertarianism and said that I was reading, among other things, Ron Paul (and although my main subject of interest in this case was economics, it is impossible to not bump on politics when reading about this). His reply? "Ron Paul is fucking racist and if you tell me you 'dig' Ayn Rand is game over, man". Fun fact: at the same year he met my girlfriend, a black-indian-white with an afro larger than life. It never stops to amaze me how logic and intelligence ceases to function for SJW.

So I stopped writing to him. This shit was comming out more and more out of nowhere. I'm not mad at him, but I don't want this kind of blind hate in my life.

I've met a few. The way I handle my interactions with them is really dependent on who they are and their level of importance as a person.

I'm a musician and play gigs pretty often. It's indie rock stuff, so our crowd is usually loaded with SJW vegan types. Most of them are pretty fun to hangout with to be honest if politics isn't on the table for the topic of discussion. But if there's a particular person who I shouldn't insult or challenge, I will keep quiet. It's important to pick your battles with that stuff.

If it's some stupid SJW idiot and I have no connection to them in real life, I might give them my two cents. I'm usually met with "OMG white privilege!" which I will reply with "OMG you just discredited what I had to say based on the color of my skin and my existence as a heterosexual male. You lost the argument, congratulations!" When I told some stupid tumblrina this to her face she tried to say that she can in fact judge me because she was sexually assaulted before (Gee I wonder why she would bring that up at that exact moment to a complete stranger?!)

You can't take these people seriously when they argue. They're literally delusional and believe their own lies. Just let them talk until they get tired and walk away.

This happened back in the nineties when I was a young one. Got a job at a huge sign company where I worked in their store handing out equipment to make signs. There was this " women" there who I could tell would cause trouble. It was a very busy place and usually had lunch while still serving people coming during their own lunch time. People used to joke about how long they had been there, as in weeks, not months or years as the turnover was unbelievable. Why you ask, well the feminazi woman was telling the boss almost daily and backstabbing everyone that she hated, which was every man there. I lasted 18 months before I got the chop.

Here's where it gets good, I got a $5000 severance package which I used to buy an 84 Honda accord that worked beautifully for 11 years until I traded it in on a new car. Also got a better job in IT a few weeks later. Sometimes you just get lucky by bitches being bitches

Dated a girl who slowly turned into one. Met in high school and she was obsessed with Phantom of the Opera and Hannibal Lecter. Ignored all the red flags cause she was smart as fuck and fun to hang out with. Some time into the relationship we started fucking and the sex was mind-blowing. Fast forward a bit. We go off to college, and break it off. 2 months later we're back involved in a long distance relationship.

There's about a year and a half of "normal" long distance depressive bullshit, but eventually my own mental health problems which are unrelated cause me to drop out of college. Shortly after she starts mentioning wanting to have an open relationship. I am initially like whoa fuck that. But she is adamant though she drops it for a while.

Eventually, I say yeah we can give it a try, but you need to call me before you hook up or whatever. I'm shaken up but willing to make it work...

I get a call, and give my okay. 2 hours later I get another call, and she wants me to come pick her up, and she's crying her eyes out. Turns out things didn't go as planned. She wasn't hurt in any way she just didn't really enjoy it and apparently that was enough to make her cry. As usual, despite me being shaken up I have to comfort her when she makes stupid decisions.

We take a break, but she keeps pushing for it AGAIN. I say fine, but I'm meeting them beforehand this time. I okay some other dude and they start fucking. Whatever.

Concurrently with and a bit before this polyamory crap I discover I'm into bdsm. I would like her to domme, but she has no interest. As we open up more and more she loses interest in getting me off even while I'm being accepting and open, and we're fighting a lot now.

She meet a guy who is a raging douchecunt. I point out he's unethical as fuck and not a good person. She doesn't care.

A month later she dumps me.

I'm obviously broken up about all this, but because of the fighting she tells me she thinks I was emotionally abusive. But she still wants to stay friends and actually has sex with me a few times after that(Poor decisions all around).

Eventually I realize I want off this fucking ride and just cut contact.

Its been years but I honestly have trouble trusting women since that whole fiasco. I tried so fucking hard and just got completely cast aside. The INSTANT a "better" male came along she was over me, and viewed me as abusive despite NEVER HITTING HER OR TRYING TO CONTROL HER. All I wanted was a little bit of a say in her sex life and that was too much.

But the best part?

I find out years later through facebook and stuff she's now working as an escort doing all the shit I asked her to do for money, and in some kind of poly-triad marriage, all the while pushing for sex worker rights and all sorts of SJW bullshit.

Apparently despite me doing everything to please her it just wasn't enough, and money gets her going harder than any intimacy or love.

Anywho, the upshot of all this is that I have zero attraction to said woman anymore, but it does still leave a mark on me that makes it difficult for me to trust. So yeah.
