If you're arguing with a feminist, she's going to dismiss your statistics as flawed and biased anyway, whatever they are and where ever they came from.

Every source, legitimate or otherwise, states that the majority of cases are women being abused by an intimate partner.

It seems to be about 60/40. The problem is that we have no idea how many male cases go unreported, and it's probably safe to assume that there's a huge percentage that do. The argument that more men are abused is simply not factual, given the current statistics, because of the fact that less men report it.

"A 2013 report by the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that 26% of male homosexuals and 44% of lesbians surveyed reported experiencing intimate partner violence."

A much greater number of women are abused in the homosexual demographic, which is a possible indicator that women tend to be more abusive, and/or men simply don't report it as often. Either that, or it's an indication that lesbian women are more abusive.

Here you go from the US National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health (American Journal of Public Health). It's right in the abstract "Almost 24% of all relationships had some violence, and half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent. In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases. Reciprocity was associated with more frequent violence among women (adjusted odds ratio [AOR]=2.3; 95% confidence interval [CI]=1.9, 2.8), but not men (AOR=1.26; 95% CI=0.9, 1.7). "

Also there is this from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services About child maltreatment. There is a table on Page 68 that breaks perpetrators down by sex, and tables on adjacent pages breaks the info by other demographics. It shows women were the perpetrators in 53.5% of cases in 2012.
