Just got banned from unpopular opinion for posting that men should stop giving their money to women. Women control 80% of the spending power in society because men are dumb. It was well written and clearly an unpopular opinion. I was actually a bit surprised.

Lived with a girl who worked as medical staff of some sort, terrible pay. I work freelance for kinda big clients, no constant high income but spikes are really good.

Problem she had was that i dont do housework, cook or clean ( kinda nonsensical cause its mine apartment and she moved in, maybe i like living like a pig) . I said fine i will do that.

I did it for a month, only thing that i corrected was adding to joint budget exact ammount she brought in.

My ex g/f would routinely make up 2/3rds of our restaurant bill (when I'm not a big fan going to restaurants anyway), would always make vacations more expensive than they needed to be because she needed to go out to fancy meals 3 times a day, go to spa, get a fancy hotel that we'll spend little to no time in, buy clothes she'll never wear etc. We would already have fronted money for activities, but she'd still rather pay for one that wasn't included.

I go out to eat I grab a sandwich and water. She needs to get the most expensive fruity drink on the menu, always the add on for avocado or bacon or whatever for $5 onto any meal she gets, and a side of $8 brocolli. Not to mention have to get an appetizer! I get a $10 sandwich and she ends up spending $30 somehow, then need to stop and get ice cream after even though she didnt eat half her meal. So with the amount of money I could go out to eat and have 5 enjoyable experiences, i get 1 when I go with my g/f, and usually it's not even fun because I know what it's costing me..

When we're on vacation it's never enough to grab a slice of pizza. Have to find a a brunch spot and spend $35 for eggs, then go to the local antique/crap stores and buy useless stuff that will end up thrown away. Women spend to just spend. Need to go to spa too and get massages/pedicures/etc! And can't be a reasonable place in town. Has to be the one at hotel that upcharges 400% because YOLO (even though it's the 3rd vacation that year). They'll buy something for a distant relative they never talk to if it means they can spend more money.

When I date women I routinely spend time fixing stuff, or working on things that SAVE my g/f money. But I always end up spending two or three times what I would if I was single. What does she like to do in her spare time? Does she come over and make me dinner or help around my house? No she wants to go out and spend my money on things I don't particularly enjoy.

Women are wasteful with money because they never really have to worry about going without. They always have the option of lowering their standards for looks slightly, and finding a man to support her. Men don't have that option so by default we are better with our money. Men worry about money like women worry about their looks. We're going to naturally be more responsible with money because of that.

This statistic is intentionally misleading

A) dollar value is purposely avoided as spending broken out by value is more even

B) most of that spending is predetermined nessecities, food, home supplies, etc

C) includes mutual descion purchases like homes, lawn equipment, etc

D) Men make or are the deciding figure in the majority of big ticlet purchases. Cars, vacations, home electronics

Its a bullshit statistic just like women make up 50 percent of movie ticket purchases and play 50 percent of videogames.
