super easy. had friends who had also never built a pc do it themselves and then say how it was easy. biggest part is making sure you know the direction the cpu sits into the motherboard (line up the triangles or w/e). about the only thing you can fuck up is bending a cpu pin (fixable if you dont do something extreme). and never use stock thermal paste that comes with the cpu. that was always a no-no. it works but you should get way better temps on some good aftermarket thermal paste.
