Title pretty much explains it. I experience some cognitive dissonance because I do believe there are some significant societal gender inequalities, but I also like the idea of spawning mini versions of myself.

I feel like a big point on this sub is that biology and historically women have behaved in a certain way for obvious reasons. Today women behave the same way because biology doesn't change that much.

Isn't it also true that humans are gregarious creatures that seek companionship and passing on genetic material? I am under no illusions that it is some logical well thought out impulse to have kids. I want it because it's deeply hardwired in my brain.

This sub seems to indicate that it is possible for men to transcend those baser instincts and go their own way. Against the expectations of society, their biology, even sometimes close friends.

However this sub also champions the idea that AWALT, or that it is essentially impossible for a woman to do the same thing and transcend her biology, societal expectations, etc.

If men can go their own way, who's to say that women can't? What if my girlfriend is a woman who went her own way? I certainly respect her intellect, and she has taking more chances with her life than many people who consider themselves "brave".
