The real problem is not the first date. It is that you are setting a precedent that quietly snowballs into an escalating series of decisions that takes you away from who you really are. soon after that first date you find yourself cancelling boys night out to see her. Then you are filling your fridge with food that only she eats. Then you take down that picture of your 66 Bonneville and put up a reprint of a selfie of hers. Before you know it you have cancelled that New Orleans Jazz tour and re-booked to an all inclusive in the Blah-hamas. Maybe you'll turn that job promotion down in Seattle because it's too far away from her family. A few years from now she is living in a house you paid for and she quits work due to "anxiety" or some other bullshit reason but that's OK because you love each other. We are so trained and conditioned to believing that "Being a provider is how you get women"or "A marriage takes compromise" or "happy wife-happy life" Bullshit that we can't see what we are doing to ourselves until it is too late. Go ahead and pay for that first date, it won't cost you much, will it?

There is nothing wrong with paying for the first date if you are already sure that it is going to be a positive experience. For most people that means being sure they are going to get laid and for some it just means knowing they'll have a good time. Its when you're meeting a girl who is really just not that into you and you know it and this is one of those 'test the water' dates, which is really just a free meal for her.

The one thing that makes me never want to go on a date with a woman is the fact that we are expected to pay for it and initiate everything, only to be rewarded with a few minutes of sex with a masculine feminist. Not only do we have to bring everything to the table but also we have to be willing to accept the fact that they have absolutely nothing to offer us and that they will definitely never even think about being loyal.

This is why I dont understand why men fall for this, even back when I was a complete simp/nice guy, I would have never paid for dates since I have always been careful about how I spend my money. Even back then, I wouldnt have let society make me believe that letting women leech off of me is a good thing.

By paying for the date, you are telling her that her time is worth more than yours, that she is the prize, not you. It doesnt matter if she was nice to you or you liked her, you should still always apply the same principles, they want their equality, then give it to them, dont ever give them more than they give you, always make that you are following the law of equivalent exchange, otherwise, women will see this as an opportunity to use you for your money. In some cases, even giving less than her could be beneficial, I know a guy who was able to live with his girlfriend for a very long time while she treated him like a king and he did nothing but competitive gaming all day, however this is obviously a rare case, but its enough to show that to a certain extent, the less you spend on a woman, the more they respect you.
