I was sat in Church this sunday (Catholic Church, i'm fanatically devoted to the Pope) and at the end of the service 3 girls (seemed to be aged about 14 - 15) approached the mic to give a talk about how they are planning a week long holiday in Lourdes next year, and need 800 each to pay for the Holiday.

My 1st thought was "gee that's really great that teens are interested in visiting a holy play like Lourdes". Then the thought occurred that i'd also love it if someone paid for my holiday that cost 800.

Am I being selfish in presuming they are simply begging for other people to pay for their holiday, and that if their family cannot afford 800 each for their holidays, then they don't deserve a week long holiday that cost 800.

N.B. 800 seems a lot for one week.
