I am looking for stories from women who have gone this route, either through a donor, adoption, or even fostering. I am single in my 30s and strongly considering this. I can do it financially. Socially, I have friends who I don't expect would bat an eyelid. I think the largest thing holding me back is cultural norms/expectations of still wanting a nuclear family (which is emotional). Only responses from people with this direct experience please.
