The haircut cost 16.50 and I gave her a 20 and told her to keep the change. I noticed she rang me up for a Senior discount (without telling me)....and then asked me if I wanted a receipt. The total was 15 which left her a $5 tip! It was slow (nobody else in there) so I guess she felt justified screwing her employer.
When I asked her why I'm getting a senior discount (I'm not even close to 55), it got kinda uncomfortable and then she said she gave me a discount and asked how much the tip should be. I told her never mind, it's not like I qualify for a senior discount anyway, and walked out, but should have probably asked for the entire tip back. Most people probably don't ask for a receipt. She's probably afraid I'm going to tell her employer. Heh. I guess I let her off too easy. What would you guy shave done in this situation?
