Most of the posts I read on here are about women being women, but nothing interesting regarding ourselves (us men).

I want to do something a little different, if I may.

My journey towards the red-pill and eventually MGTOW was not an instantaneous one. I fucked up massively up along the way.

Consider this as me venting about the dumb shit I've done. Join in if you feel like it, because at some point most of us were some type of SIMP.

Going to try and keep it simple. Before red-pill shattered my world:

[GF1]

  • Helped her to run away from home (she fled an apparent abusive household)
  • Gave me sex the first night together and claimed she was a virgin (I ignorantly bought it)
  • Raw dogged and legitimately tried to get her pregnant as we dated so we 'could be together forever' *cringe\*. She desired this too, but these days I know why.
  • Stupidly saw this woman bearing my future children (I would imagine our 'family') *cringe\*
  • Took out a high-end cellular contract (24 months) for said girlfriend because she didn't have a job and 'needed it to get one'.
  • Took girlfriend for shopping trips, even though I was going to poor town and couldn't afford it
  • Bought engagement ring for her after 3 months (yes, I know...) on my credit card
  • Allowed her to dine with her ex for 'closure' and because he had cancer (hah). Even took her to the mall and picked her up after. She said it'd take an hour and ended up calling me past midnight, which was 5 hours later. Yes, I was blissfully ignorant and even 'supportive' of her new 'friendship'.
  • She kept the engagement ring and a bunch of my stuff when she left me. Interesting tactic gentleman - they will offer to 'donate' your 'old' stuff to their family since "we'll get new stuff" shortly before breaking up.
  • Even after we were broken up, gave her oodles of my paycheck because her 'family was suffering'.
  • Came back to her after all the above, only for her to say she doesn't know what she wants.
  • Over the years I find out she's gone on the CC. 4 baby daddies and 5 kids in total. She wanted to be a lawyer. hah.

[GF2]

  • Helped her to run away from home (yes, yes I know what you're thinking). Parents wanted her to marry a farmer and be a baby mill.
  • She had no career, so I put my time, money and connections into teaching her mine (software dev.)
  • She had a beater of a car and couldn't drive stick, so I taught her using mine. My poor clutch.
  • Her car got scrapped, so I bought her a car under my name. She made too little to afford one herself.
  • Even after a few increases later, she couldn't afford the payments, so I had to step in. Every single month.
  • Pushed her for studying and pushed her to keep getting better job opportunities.
  • Towards the end, got her a job working at my employer (yeah, I know). She was actually half decent at it, but after this she decided that we 'should take a break' from each other. After 6 years. She didn't feel we were a couple anymore.
  • She met a new guy a few months after this decision, while I was STILL paying off her car.
  • Towards the end I realized I must have paid about 80% of the car and just gave it to her.

What did I learn? What do I regret?

  • I'm angry that I was so ignorant of the world, especially women. My view of them was dangerous (to myself).
  • Women can instantly become cold. Do not underestimate this. She will call you 'babe' today and wish you death tomorrow. The feeling of near instant apathy and hate against you, will shock you.
  • I can't believe that I got *potentially* cucked by GF1, but even then I could feel the hypergamous tendencies she had. Us men have an instinct that we must always listen to, especially when it goes against society's convention and being 'nice'.
  • These 2 women above were basic (GF1) and well read (GF2), but both of them exhibited the same behavior. You need to read the undertones. You need to watch what they do and not what they say. They silently weave their web around you, so you become complacent and start doing what benefits them.
  • I look at these 2 situations and can't believe the investment of time and money I have given. If i had put this money into my portfolio instead of these women, I would be so far ahead in terms of FIRE.
  • I can never see women in the same way ever again. Every interaction I have with them is instantly dismantled and understood by me. Even in my periphery, I see them flirt with men and go for the Chads. I now know what's going on. And hey, no offense to Chad.
  • Pro tip: Distance your emotions far, far away from the 'you' that interacts with the world. Emotions will fuck you big time. When people can control how you feel, they can control how you think.
  • A lot of the mistakes I made was due to the wrong perception of women. To a point, I had a lot to learn about life and being alone. I needed lessons in pain in order to avoid it. Since TRP and MGTOW have opened my eyes, I cannot un-see. Nor would I want to.
  • These days I spend a lot of time working and enjoying the quiet life. I'm single, never been married and even though I messed up plenty, have no kids thankfully. I've been alone for 5 years, but I've not been lonely, if that makes sense.
