This happened 6 years ago and i'm just gonna cut to the chase, me and my ex were dating for a year or so things seemed good with high aspirations for a future. That came to end as she was having an affair behind my back for weeks, i found out as i had my suspicions and looked over lengthy emails to her lover. When confronted she denied it all until i revealed the chats and still i was to be blamed for it.

I'm not gonna lie gentlemen my trust in people was destroyed and i retreated into a lengthy depression after the fact. However time does indeed heal wounds and that's when i started to fantasize. Unbeknownst to me the perfect opportunity fell on my lap. She texted me out the blue.. "Hey how are you".. i knew i had her.

I began to play along, waiting weeks after weeks for her to warm up to me though meaningless text so that i may have the opening i was looking for. I talked to her sweet and gentle not to scare her away until one day i asked "do you wanna meet up?" she agreed and and i suggested somewhere quiet and relaxing away from the city like a park.

That day i picked her up and drove 50+ miles away from the city, this wasn't a park as much as i painted it to be it was a nature reserve. A nature reserve i had been to, i knew how dark and cold the nights were out here, you couldn't see your hands in front of you. I told her we'd have fun catching up watching the sunset and looking up at the stars at night.

So we sat watching the sunset , catching up as the day light waned and the crisp night air took over. It was almost night time and getting cold i knew i only had a few minutes before it was pitch black out here. So i told her to wait for me here as i'd go to my car to fetch her a blanket and start a fire. I got in car looking around to see if anyone was nearby, but nothing; we were alone in the middle of nowhere and now i would leave her there just as she left me. I looked back one last time as i quietly turned on the engine and drive off. I shut off my phone and never heard from her again.

TLDR: coerced my cheating ex to come with me to a nature reserve in the middle of nowhere and drove off leaving her to fend for herself.
