This weekend has been great. After working in the office all week, I made sure to spend as much time outdoors in nature as possible. I've started propagating some plants, and have had mulch and soil in my hands all weekend. Working in the backyard, the silence was meditative. At work I talk to people all week, and being an introvert I need time to myself to recharge. I was glad I could do whatever I wanted this weekend.

Although it doesn't effect me as much as it used to, I felt bad for my housemate. His girlfriend was over, and she wanted to spend the entire weekend indoors. This is often the case on the weekend, and when it happens, she will choose a TV show to watch, and her and my housemate will lay in bed all day - even if it's nice outdoors.

Towards the end of the weekend my housemate has been a bit irritable, because like me he is also an introvert and needs time to recharge. He also works indoors, and I wondered whether the lack of sunlight this weekend has effected his mood.

Later in the day, he and his girlfriend asked me the same question that they ask me every few weeks: whether I am seeing someone at the moment. Seeing as I wanted a quick solution, I said briefly that I had been seeing someone on and off for a few weeks, and they seemed happy with my answer. It was a lie that I told them, so that I could keep them at bay and not get into any lengthy conversations about who my 'type' is, whether there was anyone I am interested in, etc. Seemingly happy that I was conforming to the plantation, I left them and went back to the garden. I'm sure there's a pun in there somewhere!
