I am an engineer and I cannot for the life of me understand the difference between the blue pill and the red pill, but apparently the blue pill is still plugged into the matrix?

Red pill and blue pill are two models of viewing the way males and females interact, their motivations, expectations, and reasons for their behavior.

Blue pill is the mainstream today, and it's an idealized world that doesn't actually exist. Red pill is about looking at facts and behavior to draw conclusion instead of how we wished the world worked.

Almost everyone is raised blue pill in the west. However, many people have experiences showing that what we've been told by our parents, the media, women is filled with half-truths and lies (be nice = get the girl, follow your dreams = success, marriage is for life). It's unfortunate because it feels good to believe this stuff. And the blue pill world is also filled with rationalizations for why these things happen, so not many break free. The thing is, when you dig in, you'll often find it's all filled with bs. So that's how some of us end up here.

My first hint of this was when reading The Selfish Gene by Dawkins. It's not that's it's pure red pill, but it gets you thinking about why our behavior evolved to the way it is.

I'm sure there are other books and blog posts that get the point better.

Engineering student here. Not quite an engineer, but finishing up my degree. I understand your confusion about the Red Pill, because I had sort of the same problem. The thing with the Red Pill is not the complexity of the subject that's the problem, but the necessary information to digest it all is scattered everywhere. It's atypical from what you are familiar with, meaning you can't just look it up in a textbook or search engine and get an immediate answer. Perhaps that's the Manosphere's (entire red pill internet community) ultimate weakness. There's no central place to find the information for even a basic definition.

Some will say that Red Pill is about accepting that "women are emotional creatures." Others will say it's about "dominance and being your true manly self." While others yet will tell you being red pill is all about "gaming women to get laid" or "going your own way." Many of these are different aspects of the Red Pill, but none really definite it. I'm going to give you my definition of the Red Pill, because I find that it's the most accurate.

Red Pill is the acceptance of female hypergamy.

That's it. All the things that this subreddit talks about and all the things every other manosphere blog or source talks about is centered around this one central fact. In much the same way Newton's Laws make up the "core" of Mechanical Engineering, the acceptance that women are hypergamous make up the core of the Red Pill. Accepting that women have a tendency to seek higher-value mates as influenced by our evolutionary history is the first step in truly understanding the Red Pill.

Of course, the mere acceptance of this fact is taboo in our modern liberal society. It goes against every facet of what society deems to be "right." It goes against the dogma virtually everyone here is taught from birth about "equality" and "tolerance." Western society has a myth that says women are "impossible to understand" but it's more accurate to say it's "forbidden" to understand them. By accepting hypergamy, you've mentally unplugged yourself from the "matrix" that everyone else is still plugged into by still subscribing to the gender equality propaganda.

Accepting it is a massive struggle of course. You're almost literally un-brainwashing yourself. All of the things you've been taught about women, including how to treat and view them goes out the window. Disney fairy tale love and romance is burnt up like a bra in a feminist rally. Suddenly they're not princesses anymore, but opportunistic beings. The consequences of this is a slow realization that to be "average" or "be yourself" isn't enough to attract women. In order to have a fulfilling sex or love life, you have to obtain characteristics or totally transform yourself to what makes women's hypergamy flair up and moistens panties. This is the essence of being "alpha" and having "game" that many in the Red Pill community talk about.

Red Pill/Blue Pill stems from the first movie in The Matrix series, where Neo has to decide between taking two pills when he meets Morpheus for the first time.

The Matrix, in case you don't know, is a futuristic simulated reality controlled by intelligent machines/robots that was meant to keep the human mind occupied. Our mind was to be occupied because our bodies were being used by the machines as an energy source after a great war between humans/machines left the sky completely scorched (no sunlight). The scorching of the sky was done by humans as a way to disable the machines since they relied on sunlight as an energy source. Obviously, the humans lost this war.

The blue pill represents his life as it currently is. If Neo takes the blue pill, he will forget all his interactions with Morpheus and return back to his normal life, living life as he normally was (oblivious to the Matrix).

The red pill represents the path towards learning the truth about the Matrix. If Neo takes the red pill (which he does), then his real body is disconnected from the Matrix, opening his eyes to the real world. This is where the story of the Matrix starts, but is enough to explain this sub.

In the context of this sub, the blue pill represents all of the politically correct bullshit you have been told about male/female behavior and interactions. For example: women only want nice guys, women are completely monogamous, women don't care about status, women don't care about money, male/female sexuality are similar, etc. All of these beliefs, while seemingly virtuous, are not the true nature of women.

The red pill is the polar opposite of the blue pill in our context - the seeking of truth of the true nature of men and women.

I could go on and on why the blue-pill ideologies aren't true - but they stem from biology. Women's biology, like a man's biology, drives them to seek out the best mate so that their children have the best chances at being healthy (attractiveness being one measure of health). At the same time, they also need a partner that will enable a secure living for her and her children. These two main requirements - healthy children and secure home - often lead to a duality in women's behavior stemming from the fact that not every man can father healthy/attractive children, while at the time, having a secure household. This is why women will often seek out a provider (aka, a beta male, who makes up the highest % of men), while at the same time, seek the sperm of an alpha male so that she can have healthy children. She wants to have the best of both worlds, and if she can't find a suitable alpha mate, then she will improvise by having a male that pays her bills and a different male that gives her the healthy/attractive children. She will, of course, attempt to hide this behavior, because she doesn't want to lose the security that the beta male provides.

Men's biology, on the other hand, also drives us to seek out the best possible mate. However, since we do not share in the physical burdens of pregnancy, we can spread our seed to as many women as possible. Women do not have this luxury because they can only get pregnant once every nine months. These things lead men to be more prone to polygamous behavior (always look to spread our seed to suitable mates), and women being more hypergamous (always looking for better mate).

Now, since you're obviously new here. Our goal is not to hate women. Our goal is to understand them. In our understanding, we can not only enable ourselves to spread our seed to as many women as we desire, but we can also find a better equilibrium in our relationships based on our biological needs. Some men here use this knowledge here to basically pick up women, but many of us also use the knowledge to improve our currently existing and/or future long-term relationships.

By understanding the true biology of men and women and what drives us to reproduce, we can understand the psychological implications that lead to the seemingly odd behavior that women exhibit: shit tests, hypergamy, submissiveness, lack of logic/honesty, etc., etc.

Everything else: alpha male versus beta male, alpha fucks versus beta bucks, game, dominance/submissiveness, whatever - is the human psychological abstraction of our biological drives.

I'm not the best at explaining this place, so if somebody has something to add, then please do so.

Once I took the red pill it changed me forever, but the hardest part was coming to terms with it, it pretty much mirrored the movie The matrix, which is pretty fucking cliche, but I didn't want to believe. I wanted to keep leaping with girls, and falling into the abyss. Exactly like the scene where Neo is told to leap from building to building by Morpheus.

This continued for a year, until I decided to contact my last ex-gf, that was my own personal way of relieving myself from the fear, doubt, and disbelief. I originally thought she still loved me, and it was my fault she stopped having feelings but after a ridiculous tumultuous exchange her true colors showed, and it validated everything I feared.

And the resistance was caused by my inability to accept all my past failures with women before her, I wanted to believe there was a perfect girl out there, and that there was nothing wrong with my approach, it was just them.

I then became liberated, you see things different, when people speak fantasies, when you see cliche shit in movies, advertisements, the way the world is programmed is false, and the repercussions are a lot of lonely guys beating themselves up about it. I was lucky enough to have an older friend introduce me to the ideas which I first rejected so hard that I decided to cease contact with him, but despite that, I grew from it all.

My rambling aside, it's basically a form of lifting the veil of ignorance, no longer clouded by disbelief. The blue bill is basically you dreaming (fantasies bout soul mates, perfect girl, romance). The red pill lets you realize they can't love you in a deep manner/unconditionally, and you must accept that or be your own demise every relationship.

TheBluePill is a satirical subreddit strongly influenced by SRS which mocks TheRedPill. There is no reason to subscribe to TheBluePill unless you already think TheRedPill matters.

Blue pill is a dream world in which people have been manipulated to believe is the true world to unplug or get out of this dream world you must take the red pill, which sends you to a world that maybe horrible at first but you got to accept it.

blue pillers (Beta) are people who believe that both men and women are equally the same both one has tits and holds a child for 9 months. They complain about girls wanting jerks but think nice guys will find a great girl. These people are manipulated to believe women should be treated like royalty by the media, and when told about the 'reality world' they despise it and keep believing the dream worlds is actually the real world.

While red pillers (Alpha) are people who believe that men are natural leaders and women are followers so treating them equally is pretty retarded. The red pill teaches you how to become that leader and get women to follow you and get them to submit to anything you want. Women have this same effect on blue pillers.
