Upon mentioning my dislike of the feminist movement, I was recently asked how exactly I define the movement.

Of course most feminists and feminist sympathizers that you will encounter will make up a dubious explanation like, "A feminist is an individual who thinks that women should have equal rights to men." They proselytize a huge array of extreme theories under the guise of "feminism", but when you ask them what this mysterious entity is they'll defend themselves by defining it as something few individuals would disagree with. Yeah okay, you and the thousands of other people I've met who call themselves "feminist" all make the same hundred errors and close their eyes when they're met with information relating to the uncomfortable facts of gender dynamics, female sexual psychology, and so forth, yet you expect me to assume that what makes someone a feminist is a conviction in "equal rights for women"?

I produced a response on the topic, and then I cleaned up the information and posted a blog article where I go through what I think are some of the strongest defining characteristics of the feminist movement, focusing on actual doctrines that they hold and why they're problematic. What makes a feminist is not a desire for equality, but a network of emotions and feelings which produce blind tolerance supposedly in place of bigoted prejudice, when to anyone with stable emotions there should appear a third way: a realistic appraisal of human nature.
