gaslighting example: when a husband/wife convinces his husband/wife she's imagining seeing him with another man/woman. (S)He tells him/her that (s)he wasn't there, and (s)he must have seen someone who looks like him/her. When she reiterates what she saw, he tells her she's always bad at recognizing people or that she isn't very observant.
Had an ex that would pull this bullshit. She’d talk shit about me then when I’d call her out on it she’d try to convince me that I was hearing things. Fuck that bitch.
