Okay, so I am trying to go about this as humble as possible, I am by no means a model. I’m 6’2, lean, and have been asked if I’m a playboy. This is just for background reference.

Now, there has been multiple occurrences that lead me to believe I’m somewhat attractive, ex. I was sitting at McDonald’s with some friends and a random girl came up from her group and took my picture. Some girl from that same McDonald’s asked for my number. My friend that is a girl told me that her moms friend thinks I’m hot. Etc.

Again I am not bragging, what I am confused about is this. I was at a drive thru and the girl hands me my drink, I say thank you, and she doesn’t say anything back but just stares at me. I put my drink in the cup holder, look back, and she’s still staring. This pisses me off because first off why can’t you say you’re welcome, and what the fuck are you staring at? It makes me feel like there’s something wrong with me. This has happened before, as well as at a mall or something, where I’ll look over and they’re just staring. I have anxiety so it makes me hate going out in public.

Is there anyone that can explain this behavior? I by no means find myself objectively attractive, I don’t even have a girlfriend. Anyone else relate?
