I am Indian but luckily I was born and raised outside India. I was influenced by a lot of cultures except Indian culture and im thankful for that. Why? well....when I came back to India for completing my undergrad, I noticed the shit Indian men would do just to get a girls attention. Flowers, chocolate, teddy bears, buying her food whenever she wants and more. Mind you, these guys werent even in a relationship with them! Indian dating culture is not like western dating. Here, you have to say "I love you" in order to get into a relationship. So there is no "dating phase" to get a feel about how the girl might be. You first be friends and then "propose" to her by saying I love you.

The men here are heavily influenced by bollywood where the main characters are always simping for the love of their life. Sometimes, there are scenes where the man literally WORSHIPS the woman like shes a god. Also, depending on where you study in India, sometimes the boys and girls are literally segregated in class from one another. There will be a boys only side and girls only side in the class. I saw this when I went to pick up my cousin from his high school. Some schools keep it segregated like that until you graduate from high school. You will most likely have zero interaction with girls even after graduating. Its super fucked up.

I got a gf in just my 2nd semester of studying in India. It was easy for me because Indian girls love "foreign" men and I have an American accent. But it was shocking to see that many guys between ages 20-24 have never even kissed a girl or had a girlfriend. For example; My classroom has lets say 10 guys, out of 10 only 3 had a girlfriend. The rest were simping and just rape staring women while they walk down the hallway like thirsty dogs.

Also, I have said this many many times in this sub before, you guys should see how many dudes are chasing the ugly girls at any given time. These guys are not even ugly, they are legit average-above average looking and are going after girls who are between 1/10 to 4/10. Even these ugly girls have an ego the size of the universe and we all know why.

It isn't the truth in the slightest. Men aren't allowed to talk about it socially because women get offended. So we don't mention it. It's not cause we find it uncomfortable at all. If there's any reason I feel uncomfortable, it's because the smell of period in the air makes me physically uncomfortable.

I don't think that blog post or 10 annual leaves a year during menstruation is SIMPing. It's just observing an uneasy fact and being compassionate about it.
On the other hand, I do think some Indian men who are brainwashed with Bollywood romance, the idea of unconditional love etc SIMP a lot on IG to get some virtual attention and love.
