We are biologically expendable. If a tribe is attacked by a group of predators who do you think is going to fight back? The kids? The females? Males are the only ones willing to risk their lives to save everyone else. Role based societies allowed primates reach the point we are on now.

Today's predators are other humans and life threatening jobs.

Males are evolutionary expendable, not only on Homo sapiens, but many other species too. Since spermatozoa are cheap, Nature/Evolution also made males smarter & stronger; basically putting males in the "hunter & protector" roles since those activities are riskier. Wasting spermatozoa is preferable than wasting precious and expensive ova, and way more so than putting the fetus/child at risk if the female is pregnant.

At first, that statement seems to imply that most men are automatically marked as useless, but in truth, your role is simply not pre-selected without your consent.

You are not a tool and thus may choose your own purpose.

As a black man, we aren’t expendable. I’d love to see the ratio of women compared to free, self sufficient black men. They’re always complaining that they don’t have enough to pick from.(Of course it’s wall proximity chicks saying this) and unattractive men aren’t considered to be men in their eyes anyway.
