As an 18 year old in high school, here in Australia, most girls like to commence in a 'talking stage' with guys where they basically get to know each other over a long period of time through social media, gain her trust before anything remotely sexual occurs or even before a date happens. Whenever I hit up girls and try and set up dates, I get dry responses/rejected. I usually set these dates up within 10-30 mins of interacting with them. Despite the rejections, the girls happily give me their numbers/social media details.

I have asked my friends who pull about this and they say I am too direct and need to talk to them first over socials. I've experienced the talking stage before, it was basically just a bitch teasing me for 3 months and talking to each other every day on social media

how do I go about this - Is the talking stage worth it?
