It's enough to read posts on r/seduction to understand why you should NEVER agree to coffee dates, they are as low effort as netflix&chill while giving the illusion of an actual date.

Most men who ask you out for coffee will get there 15 minutes before the actual date (you set the time to 4PM, he will be there at 3:45PM) so he can buy his own coffee, sit down and when you get there you will have to buy your own and this is how he won't pay for yours and it will seem NORMAL to you.
And even if he will get there at the same time you do, he will still stand in the line in front of you and order for himself only, you will have to pay for yours.

Coffee is for interviews and co-workers, not romantic interests or dates. They say dinner feels too formal but to me coffee feels too formal and reminds me of work, those who refuse dinners are spinning plates, greedy or paranoid. Take notes.
